OVA vs. Savin

If you are the direct victim of a crime and the inmate is serving his/her sentence in a state prison, you have the right to be registered with both SAVIN and the Office of Victim Advocate (OVA). Registration for automated notifications should only be one part of a comprehensive safety plan for victims of crime. As a victim of crime, you have rights under the law to receive notifications informing you when an inmate is being considered for release, and the option to provide input into that release.
