STOP Domestic Violence Training

The Office of Victim Advocate has received a STOP Violence Against Women Grant and partnered with the Finding Jenn’s Voice film and curriculum to deliver a FREE statewide training like none other! We will be traveling across the state (10 locations in 2 years) to bring to you a training focused on

     • recognizing the various aspects of domestic violence
     • the protocols we use to combat this epidemic
     • the tools you need for effective supervision of an offender   
     • access to services for victims

Dates and locations are announced below. Each training will be one full day; lunch will be an opportunity to network with colleagues and get out to enjoy the day. (We are unable to provide lunch with this grant funding.)

     Mercer area | Hampton Inn, Grove City
     August 27, 2019  |  9 am - 5 pm      

     Altoona area | Blair County Convention Center 
     September 24, 2019  |  9 am - 5 pm     

     Williamsport area | Genetti Hotel
     October 29, 2019  |  9 am - 5 pm 
     Allentown area | Renaissance Allentown Hotel
     November 19, 2019  |  9 am - 5 pm 

     Harrisburg/Hershey area | Hershey Lodge
     March 25, 2020  | 9 am - 5 pm (registration begins at 8:30am)

The curriculum is MOPEC certified to provide 3 CEUs to municipal police officers, as well as 6 hours of PCCD Annual Training. If you work in state/county probation, law enforcement, victim services, the district attorney or district justice office – mark your calendar! Space is limited and attendees will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
