PA SAVIN and FAQs?
stands for Pennsylvania Statewide Automated Victim Information & Notification also known as VINE
. It is a free, confidential and automated service that keeps victims, law enforcement and community members up-to-date on the status of an inmate housed in county jail, state prison or under state parole supervision within the Commonwealth. PA SAVIN will allow you to receive specific information about a person's custody status, such as an inmate's release, transfer or escape.

What types of notification options do I have to receive automated information?
You can register to receive a phone call, text message, email or any combination of the three.
What is a PIN?
A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a four-digit code chosen by you, and is required to register for phone and text notifications. When receiving a VINE
phone notification, you will be asked to enter your PIN. Entering the PIN is the only way to confirm receipt and stop the notification from repeating.
What if I'm not home or my phone is busy when VINE calls?
The VINE service is designed to allow every opportunity for you to be notified. If there is no answer or the line is busy, VINE
will continue to call for a minimum of 24 hours. VINE will leave a message on an answering machine but will continue to call for 24 hours or until the PIN is entered.
Can I register more than one telephone number and email address with VINE?
Yes. You may register as many telephone numbers and email addresses as you would like. Please note each text and phone registration requires a PIN. However, you may use the same PIN for several registrations.
Why am I receiving unwanted calls from VINE?
Your current phone number was previously registered with the VINE service. To remove your phone number from the VINE service during business hours, contact OVA at 1.800.563.6399 Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm. To remove your phone number after hours, contact PA SAVIN
